Simply Smart Grants are offered by Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union Foundation for Education to assist educators with classroom needs and projects. Grants up to $1,500.00 are available to each eligible public high school in the Credit Union's service area: Johnson City, Blount, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Roane, Sevier, and Sullivan counties.

ELIGIBLE SCHOOLS

IMPORTANT DATES

    • AUGUST: Applications delivered to eligible schools
    • OCTOBER 1: Application Deadline
    • DECEMBER 1: Recipients of the Simply Smart Grant notified
    • MID-DECEMBER: Funds awarded to recipients
    • MAY 1: Post-Grant Report and receipts due

    Applying for the Simply Smart grant is simple. Here are a few tips:

      • Complete the application by entering your information.
      • Once you have completed all fields, download the application by clicking the download icon. 
      • Once you and the principal have signed the application, you can email, mail, or drop it off at any of our branch locations.

    Eligibility Criteria: (1) Employed full-time as an educator at an eligible public high school, (2) Intends to continue teaching in the consecutive school year, and (3) Project grant funds may be used for registration fees, but not for transportation. Recipients of the last year's Simply Smart Grant are not eligible to apply for this school year. However, any other educator from the school may apply.
